What is the East Tennessee Foundation and why are they accepting the donations for the scholarship?

The East Tennessee Foundation (ETF) is a public, nonprofit, community foundation created by and for the people of East Tennessee.  The ETF will professionally hold and manage the funds to ensure the scholarship endowment will continue Spenser's legacy in perpetuity.  ETF manages more than 65 other scholarships with a total endowment of $21 million.


Can I donate anonymously? 

Yes, you can opt to keep your donation anonymous.  Please see ETF's privacy policy.


Is there a limit to how much I can donate?

No, there is no limit on the amount you wish to donate.


Is my donation tax deductible?

Donations made directly to the East Tennessee Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax exempt publicly supported organization, are fully deductible to the extent permitted by law.


Who made this webpage?

This webpage was set up by close friends of Spenser who wanted to find a way to honor his life appropriately, and in such a manner that he would have wanted.

Can I donate other assets?
